Parent Center
Announcement On September 14, 2010, the Parent Center will be hosting an informational workshop addressing the topic of AKS/Curriculum. The workshop will be offered twice, at 12:30 pm and at 6:00 pm, and we encourage all parents to attend one of the two sessions and learn information about the standards that students are expected to master in each grade level and the curriculum that is used by the school system to ensure these standards are met. Also, information will be covered regarding the criteria for promotion to the next grade level. On September 23, 2010, the GIVE Center East will be holding an Open House. The Open House will begin at 1:30 pm and will feature a parent workshop on Teen Issues presented by Keith O'Carroll of the Student Services Department. We encourage all parents to come and listen to the information presented and to take advantage of the opportunity to meet the faculty and staff at the GIVE Center East. There will also be a follow-up Open House and parent workshop at 6:00 pm for those unable to attend the afternoon session. |
